We could classify video surveillance systems according to the type of image transmission in analog or digital (IP) The analog systems were the first to be used and are still used due to their low cost. The different formats in which the output of television signals is analog and TV lines(TVL) are used to refer to the image resolution.. The image resolution depends mainly on the image sensor with which it is equipped, either CCD / CMOS. Analog cameras can offer standard resolution video with 1000 TVL, 700TVL, 650TVL, 480, 420TVL TV line. The higher the number of lines, the higher the Resolution will be. Analog cameras are associated with a video recorder (DVR: Digital Video Recorder) to record and store these images. Digital cameras are an increasingly alternative on videosurveillance systems, giving a Digital Video output, and using the number of pixels to refer to image resolution. There are cameras of 0.3 megapixels, 1 megapixel, 1.3 megapixels, 2 megapixels, 3MP, 5MP, 8MP resolution. A larger number of pixels means better image quality and higher resolution. The resolution is the number of pixels that make up the screen, and is specified by the number of pixels on the horizontal axis mal the vertical, for example, 1024 × 768. With more resolution (more expensive the camera is), we obtain better defined graphics and letters, occupying more information on the screen at the same time. Operation of license plate capture cameras
License plate capture systems are integrated into specific cameras that have OCR (optical character recognition). The cameras visualize and detect the license plate, which are stored in a NVR video recorder. NVR allows us to manage the stored license plates.
